Kicking off Women’s History Month with some kicks, eBay announced the exclusive drop of its Trailblazers Collection of sneakers inspired or designed by influential women in the sneakerhead community.

The collection includes multiple women-inspired designs, such as the Nike Air Swoopes — created for WNBA icon Sheryl Swoopes — and the Air Jordan II Retro “Violette,” designed by Vashtie Kola, whose sneaker served as the first female-designed Air Jordan collaboration. All sneakers featured in the Trailblazers Collection are supported by the eBay Authenticity Guarantee, which has authenticated more than 2 million sneakers globally since its inception in October 2020.

“From innovative designs to milestone partnerships that changed the game, this collection honors the women who have propelled the sneaker industry forward for decades,” said Charis Marquez, VP of Fashion for eBay North America in a statement. “Female contributions to sneaker culture are often overlooked and, despite being passionate sneakerheads, many women feel their voices aren’t heard. We wanted to spotlight and celebrate these women who have positively impacted the community.”

The Trailblazers Collection also features styles such as the Nike Air Mag “Back to the Future,” designed with power-lacing by Tiffany Beers; the Adidas Ultraboost 22, designed by Stella McCartney; and Casablanca x New Balance 327, designed by Charlotte Lee. “When the ‘Violette’ Air Jordan II Retro was released over 10 years ago, it was a truly groundbreaking moment — no other woman had ever designed a Jordan sneaker,” said Kola in a statement. “It’s an honor to be among this incredible group of women who have had such a prolific impact on sneaker culture.”
