The Lovesac Company is partnering with global nonprofit Habitat for Humanity to provide sustainable furniture to homes at a more accessible price point.

With its proprietary “Designed for Life” approach, Lovesac has developed a reputation for designing, manufacturing and selling comfortable and high-quality accent chairs, sectionals and its namesake “sacs.” And through its longstanding support of Habitat for Humanity, the company to date has donated more than $600,000 worth of sactionals and sacs to the nonprofit via its 900+ ReStores locations, which are independently owned home improvement stores operated by local Habitat organizations. In these stores, items are sold at a discounted rate and help fund local housing initiatives.

Lovesac Goes Beyond Monetary Donations

Lovesac has committed to donating a minimum of $150,000 worth of products this year to further its sustainability and community-driven efforts, and there are new dimensions to the partnership including:

  • Disaster Relief: Joint efforts to provide disaster relief to impacted communities, including North Carolina following Hurricane Helene and Los Angeles in response to the recent wildfires. Lovesac has pledged to donate more than $400,000 in product to Habitat ReStores located in Los Angeles and in North Carolina to support long-term disaster recovery efforts.

  • Volunteer Build Days: Nearly 2,000 Lovesac employees will participate in select Volunteer Build Days throughout the year, helping build and refurbish homes alongside local Habitat affiliates. Lovesac showrooms also will work with local Habitat ReStores through donations and volunteer opportunities to better serve local communities.

“At Lovesac, we are rooted in sustainability and comfort for all, and we are proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity to transform the communities we serve through the power of safe, stable homes,” said Shawn Nelson, Lovesac Founder and CEO in a statement. “By combining our premium Designed for Life furniture with Habitat’s dedication to building affordable shelter, we are creating spaces where families can not only live but truly thrive. This is incredibly important this year in communities impacted by natural disasters, and we’re so grateful for this partnership that helps us actionize our commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of our customers and communities.”
