Walmart has partnered with last mile solution provider Cognetry Labs to offer Walmart GoLocal’s network of delivery options to Cognetry’s clients. Cognetry provides ecommerce and fulfillment solutions for independent and mid-sized grocers, and the partnership aims to help more of them add delivery services.
Walmart GoLocal clients can access nationwide high-capacity coverage for last mile delivery. The delivery-as-a-service business utilizes the retailer’s existing capabilities to offer flexible delivery options for other retailers nationwide.
Cognetry offers an end-to-end AI-driven cloud-native solution designed to drive price productivity, optimize fulfillment and improve delivery drop density. The solution can help retailers build their brand while retaining control of customer touch points and merchandising.
“Walmart GoLocal and Cognetry Labs have a shared priority of supporting mid-sized and independent businesses and providing efficient, reliable delivery to families in communities across the country,” said Harsit Patel, General Manager of Walmart GoLocal in a statement. “This is one way we deliver on Walmart GoLocal’s brand promise — to bring affordable access to products and services to customers while also empowering businesses to grow using our capabilities and coverage.”

Walmart also has several retail partners that use GoLocal directly, including:
- Chico’s FAS, which offers two-hour delivery in select markets for the Chico’s, White House Black Market and Soma brands; and
- The Home Depot, which uses the service for items that can easily fit in a car, including tools, fasteners and paint.
