Chico’s FAS will offer two-hour delivery through Walmart GoLocal, starting in select markets including Chicago and Fort Myers, Fla., with plans to expand to other areas in 2022. The partnership includes the Chico’s, White House Black Market and Soma brands.
The two-hour delivery option builds on the same-day delivery partnership Chico’s entered with Roadie during the 2020 holiday season. The fashion brand has continued building out its digital offerings in 2021 with the launch of StyleConnect, a clienteling and mobile checkout tool, and the appointment of Jay Topper as Chief Digital Officer.
“Getting our customer what she wants, when she wants it, is another step in our ‘digital first’ customer centricity transformation,” said Molly Langenstein, CEO of Chico’s FAS in a statement. “Whether delivering a last minute black dress, pair of pajamas or a new pair of jeans, partnering with Walmart GoLocal offers a convenient delivery option and yet another way we’re able to deliver on our promise of bringing women confidence and joy.”
Walmart GoLocal, which launched in August 2021, has already onboarded retail partners including The Home Depot. Last mile has become a hot topic for retailers with the shrinking of delivery window expectations and the supply chain crunch, and local delivery is set to be an important offering in the 2021 holiday season as a result.
