BJ’s Adds Virtual Try-On Tech for Online Optical Shopping

BJ’s Wholesale Club is continuing to expand its digital offerings with the launch of a new online shopping experience for BJ’s Optical that will allow warehouse club members to purchase sunglasses and prescription eyewear online.

The new online experience features virtual try-on technology to help online shoppers find the perfect pair of glasses. The shop offers a full range of eyecare products including frames, single vision eyewear, non-prescription and prescription sunglasses and contact lenses from brands such as Armani Exchange, O’Neill and Vogue, as well as BJ’s exclusive brands, Berkley Jensen and Club DeCode.

The new online optical experience is the latest in a series of digital expansions for BJ’s that include the launch of an enhanced mobile app; a buy online, pickup in-club service for fresh and frozen items; and contactless curbside pickup.

“We know how busy our members are, which is why we’re making it easier for them to shop for eyewear with our new online optical experience,” said Chris DeSantis, SVP and GMM, Sundries and Services at BJ’s Wholesale Club in a statement. “We’re committed to delivering outstanding service to our members, and our new BJ’s Optical experience is another example of how we’re bringing that commitment to life and helping members shop their way for everything they need.”
