Nike, Calvin Klein and Other Major Brands in Vietnam Enhance Order and Inventory Management

ACFC Vietnam

For Vietnamese retail management firm Au Chau Fashion and Cosmetic Company (ACFC), the rapid adoption of online shopping spurred by COVID-19 store closures offered an opportunity to beef up the omnichannel experience across its suite of international brands.

ACFC, a subsidiary of Imex Pan Pacific Group, manages and distributes a range of major international brands in Vietnam, including Nike, Levi’s, Gap, Tommy Hilfiger, Mango, Banana Republic, Calvin Klein, Dune London, Cotton On, French Connection, Mothercare and Tumi. The company has more than 200 stores across the country — both Main Street shops and mall locations.

As more customers shifted their shopping online during the pandemic and demand for services like buy online, pick up in-store (BOPIS) increased, ACFC rolled out its new Magento ecommerce platform and integrated it with Retail Pro Prism POS retail management software to more efficiently manage inventory and orders across its network of brands.

“Using Retail Pro Prism, we have been able to improve inventory accuracy and visibility across locations, provide retail outlets with price change information automatically, centrally design and manage complex promotion schemes and better manage operational data for store management to streamline store openings,” said Vo Thi Phi Phuong, Managing Director of ACFC in a statement.

Retail Pro Prism is a customizable platform that allows retailers to manage inventory and orders more efficiently across channels and subsidiaries. In the case of ACFC, data on orders, payments and redeemed promotions is sent from Magento to Retail Pro Prism. Then when the goods are ready to ship to the customer, the information is automatically sent to DHL from Retail Pro Prism to trigger the delivery process.

“With data integrated between Retail Pro Prism and our ecommerce, it is easy to keep track of inventory and to display online whether an item is out of stock or ready to be picked up, resulting in less frazzled associates and happier customers,” said Vo. “When customers buy and pay on the ecommerce website, that order information is sent to Retail Pro Prism at the store, and the goods will be picked and packed, ready for customers to collect. The transaction data is also being captured, so stores will collect data on which styles are popular, which will influence product orders in the future.”
