New Book Sheds Light On Engaging Mobile Consumers

Due to the continued proliferation of smartphones and tablets, more consumers are using their mobile devices to browse and buy. As a result, many retailers are closings their brick-and-mortar stores. In this business guide, author Gary Schwartz, President and CEO of Impact Mobile, Inc., and Chair of MEF North America, spotlights how merchants can build long-lasting relationships with today’s mobilized shoppers.

Titled: Fast Shopper, Slow Store: A Guide to Courting and Capturing the Mobile Consumer, the 69-page book will be released on Sept. 25, 2012 for the Amazon Kindle, iPhone and iPad, as well as the Barnes and Noble NOOK by Atria Books.

“There needs to be a greater focus on connected screens and the connections between screens,” Schwartz told Retail TouchPoints. “Big data is the central pillar of this new connected screen economy, making it imperative that company CIOs and CMOs work together to dovetail store operations with shopper engagement.”
