Dillard’s Debuts Coterie Shop Spotlighting Four Fashion Entrepreneurs

Designs from Fanm Mon (left) and Crosby by Mollie Burch will be featured at the Dillard's Coterie Shop.

In 24 stores and online, Dillard’s has introduced The Coterie Shop to spotlight luxury special occasion and casual dressing pieces from four entrepreneurial fashion brands: Abbey Glass, Buru, Crosby by Mollie Burch and Fanm Mon.

“We are beyond excited to introduce The Coterie Shop to our customers,” said Alexandra Dillard Lucie, VP of Merchandising at Dillard’s in a statement. “Each of our featured brands was founded by incredible, talented artisans running their own businesses and creating beautiful, captivating pieces while living busy and fulfilling personal lives. We are truly honored to be their partner and so happy to share their work at Dillard’s.”

Founded in 2015, Abbey Glass is a luxury womenswear brand that strives to help women embrace their individuality and be self-assured in their innate femininity. Abbey Glass herself started designing dresses when she was 10 years old and went on to become a classically trained fashion designer.

Buru, with collections centered on bold textiles, whimsical prints and playful use of color, was established in 2013 when founder and first-time mom Morgan Hutchinson became frustrated with a wardrobe that no longer met the daily demands of her life. Growing up in Kentucky and attending the University of Alabama for her interior design degree, Morgan has developed designs with a distinctly Southern sensibility.

Each Crosby by Mollie Burch style and print is hand-designed by the brand’s CEO and Creative Director, Mollie Burch, who draws her inspiration from unexpected color palettes, vibrant cultures and the wonders of nature.

Sophia Demirtas founded Fanm Mon in 2013 as an ode to her Haitian heritage. Over the years, Fanm Mon has embraced the artisanal techniques of Ukraine, where it was once based, and Turkey, where it made a new home. “Fanm Mon” is a Haitian phrase meaning “mountain woman,” but its spirit signifies a woman nurturer who creates beauty from her natural surroundings.

The Coterie Shop can be found at Dillard’s stores across the Southeast and Southwest, including four stores in Florida, six in Texas and three in Tennessee.
