On May 15, Isis announced new retail partners across Austin, Texas and Salt Lake City, Utah, as well as a roster of national merchants that will be joining the mobile commerce solution’s network this summer. Isis is a joint venture between AT&T Mobility, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless.
In addition to the most recently announced partners, the Isis list of national merchants include: Aéropostale, The Coca-Cola Company and Jamba Juice. Other merchants scheduled to join the network extend across grocery stores, retailers, gas stations, coffee shops and restaurants that already are equipped with Isis-compatible payment terminals.
“Today’s announcement signals the mobile commerce experience has arrived,” said Jim Stapleton, Chief Sales Officer of Isis, in a press statement. “A strong merchant base in Austin and Salt Lake City will make the Isis Mobile Wallet real for consumers as they choose to use their mobile wallet at many of their favorite merchant locations to pay and redeem offers. We look forward to working closely with both local and national merchants to enable a mobile commerce experience that transforms how consumers shop and interact with their favorite brands.”
Following Isis’ official launch, consumers will have the ability to purchase NFC-enabled devices from AT&T Mobility, T-Mobile or Verizon Wireless stores, and have the Isis Mobile Wallet enabled and ready to use. Additionally, hundreds of merchant locations in both Austin and Salt Lake City will accept contactless payments.
