Inmar Intelligence will become a reseller of Happy Returns’ Returns Bar and Online Returns Exchange Services (ORES). The partnership will merge Inmar’s returns processing and data services with Happy Returns’ ORES capabilities in an effort to improve both solution providers’ return services.
Retailers that use the Inmar Intelligence returns solution will now be able to provide shoppers in-person return portals at Happy Returns’ 2,600 Return Bars. Once the returns are received, Inmar Intelligence conducts the reverse logistics process in accordance with a retailer’s contract, and inspects and routes the product according to the retailer’s business rules for highest-value next-step. These options can include return to stock, return to vendor, secondary market sale, donation or recycle.
Prior to the pandemic, 78% of shoppers preferred to return ecommerce items in-person, according to data from Inmar Intelligence. That number has fallen somewhat, but it is still nearly 60% despite the need for social distancing.
