Marci Grebstein has been named EVP-Chief Marketing Officer for JCPenney, filling a role that has been vacant since Mary Beth West left the department store retailer to become Chief Growth Officer at Hershey in March 2017.
Grebstein has more than 20 years of retail marketing experience, most recently as CMO for Lowe’s, where she drove integrated and data-driven omnichannel marketing campaigns designed to build customer loyalty. Prior to Lowe’s, she worked for Food Lion of Delhaize America and spent 16 years at Staples.
Grebstein will report to JCPenney CEO Marvin Ellison, who said in a statement: “As we focus on enhancing our Home Refresh strategy, better utilizing customer data and optimizing our omnichannel capabilities, Marci’s broad retail expertise will be invaluable as we seek to differentiate our business through strategic marketing initiatives that will entice new and loyal customers to choose JCPenney for their homes and families.”
