Petco has debuted a host of new digital offerings including a newly redesigned website, an enhanced Petco app experience, new online tools for pet parents and no-fee same-day delivery, available nationwide in partnership with DoorDash.
Featuring a new interface that makes shopping easier, faster load times and more information for pet care, the revamped Petco.com is designed with a health- and wellness-forward approach that enables customers to shop their local store via in-store or curbside pickup. They also can book health and wellness services like veterinary, grooming and training, including a new online training offering.
“Consumers want more than a transactional relationship with the companies they do business with,” said Darren MacDonald, Chief Digital and Innovation Officer of Petco in a statement. “They want deeper, richer experiences, as well as more convenient ways to shop.”
The Petco app and website also offer the new Right Food Finder tool, which allows shoppers to receive customized food recommendation based on their pet’s unique needs.
Along with the performance and design enhancements, the Petco app offers “care reminders” that cover a broad range of wellbeing categories — from dental chews and flea and tick treatments to nutrition and expiring vaccinations.
While Petco isn’t charging any fees for the same-day delivery service provided through DoorDash Drive, there is a $35 order minimum. Same-day delivery can be accessed through Petco.com or the Petco app at checkout by simply adding eligible items to the cart. Customers also can earn Pals rewards with same-day delivery purchases.
