An increasing number of merchants are adding new solutions designed to maximize the value of their social media marketing efforts. Recently, 7-Eleven, Home Depot, JCPenney, and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf have implemented MomentFeed, a location-based social marketing platform.
The retailers are leveraging MomentFeed to publish local content to Facebook, Foursquare, Google+, Instagram and Twitter in real time, according to a company press release. Additionally, the platform will help marketers better track and respond to consumer messages being published across social sites.
“We are always looking for new ways to maximize relevance in our customer communications,” said Danielle Ivey, Senior Manager of Digital Marketing at 7-Eleven. “Given our different guest needs we serve based on different local markets, publishing content accordingly through location-based channels like Facebook Place pages and engaging directly with our guests is a tremendous opportunity for us. The MomentFeed platform enables this at scale.”

MomentFeed also was designed to correct geocodes and merge duplicate locations listed on social networking sites. Using this PinSync process, all store addresses are verified and accurate, so consumers can “check in” to locations more easily.
“Managing our location data to minimize friction for customers is a huge priority for us,” said Patrice Anderson, Director of e-Commerce and Social Media at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. “With social channels now creating opportunities at the local level, geocode accuracy is more important than ever to make sure our customers can find us right away instead of creating unauthorized duplicates. MomentFeed’s PinSync process ensures the location data accuracy we need.”
