Best Buy Adds DoorDash as On-Demand Delivery Partner

Best Buy has partnered with DoorDash to offer delivery of its consumer electronics products in under one hour, on average. The retailer, which has been shifting its store fleet to feature more small-format and outlet stores, had partnered with DoorDash rival Instacart for on-demand deliveries in November 2020, a relationship that has continued.

Like Instacart, DoorDash has been expanding its retailer relationships beyond food deliveries, adding Lush Cosmetics and Victoria’s Secret in March 2023 as well as Party City, followed by partnerships with Spirit Halloween, Petco and Staples.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Best Buy to DoorDash as our first national consumer electronics retailer on the marketplace,” said Fuad Hannon, VP of New Verticals at DoorDash in a statement. “With the holiday season around the corner, this is a valuable occasion for consumers to shop for tech gifts for everyone on their list and experience the joy of shopping at Best Buy directly on the DoorDash app.”

To mark the partnership, consumers can get $15 off Best Buy orders totaling $55 or more through Dec. 5, 2023 by using the cost BEST15. Members of DoorDash’s loyalty program DashPass can get $25 off the same-size orders using the code BEST25.
