Chico’s FAS has entered a strategic partnership with solution provider fabric to improve its speed-to-market for initiatives designed to accelerate growth. Chico’s will leverage fabric’s technology, including omnichannel order management and inventory systems, to power its commerce offerings across the entire company.
The retailer will use the platform to swiftly implement and improve a number of customer-facing innovations, including ship-to-store, same-day-delivery, social commerce and its Virtual Stylist program. Additionally, fabric’s inventory management capabilities will help the retailer improve accuracy and transparency across all three of its banners to boost the customer experience. In return, fabric will tap Chico’s expertise as an omnichannel boutique retailer to drive its own development and innovations.
“We believe this relationship developed at the perfect time for both of our companies,” said Jay Topper, Chief Digital Officer at Chico’s FAS in a statement. “From top to bottom, fabric’s like-minded team could not be more culturally aligned to Chico’s FAS. Superior order management capabilities are at the center of today’s and tomorrow’s commerce solutions.”
“We are thrilled that Chico’s FAS has partnered with fabric to drive their innovative customer-centric approach,” said Faisal Masud, CEO of fabric in a statement. “We are continuously impressed by their strategy, ideas and commitment to their customers.”
Chico’s has been enhancing its technological offerings over the past several years. Recent efforts include the launch of two-hour delivery through Walmart GoLocal and continued development of its StyleConnect digital styling service, which connects customers and associates online to enable a personalized experience across all channels.
