Expectant parents, rejoice! After announcing its new in-store partnership with Babies ‘R’ Us, Kohl’s is bringing back the retailer’s beloved baby registry. Expectant families can build, manage and share their wish lists with loved ones via Kohls.com or the Kohl’s App.
When opening an account on the Baby Registry, consumers can confirm where gifts should be shipped, track the baby’s expected arrival date, customize a welcome message for loved ones and start selecting products to add to their lists. The registry will serve product suggestions and provide parents-to-be with product checklists for inspiration on baby essentials, nursery items and items to help bring baby on-the-go. Consumers also will be able to search for individual items by category or price point to ensure they have everything they need for their babies’ arrival.
But the new registry program isn’t just limited to Babies ‘R’ Us inventory. Consumers can create a registry that includes Kohl’s array of baby brands as well as its broader assortment of products and categories. Registry items can either be shipped to the baby registry’s creator directly, shipped to a chosen home address or picked up in-store. In-store shoppers can purchase items and check the items off the Baby Registry when they present a unique QR code at checkout.
Registry owners can receive other money-saving perks, including a 15% discount to purchase any final qualifying baby items to complete their registry and the chance to earn and redeem Kohl’s Cash and Rewards. Consumers who create a baby register this fall are eligible to receive a special welcome gift box.
The registry’s return is Kohl’s latest move spotlighting how it is serving families at key life stages. The still-struggling retailer recently launched a new brand campaign and platform, “Where Families Come First,” to illustrate how its diverse assortment and various promotional strategies support American households.
