Peet’s Coffee Changes Loyalty Program To Be Based on Spend Rather Than Visits

Peet’s Coffee has updated its loyalty program to reward members with points based on their spend rather than on their visits. The upgrade was made in partnership with Paytronix, which has worked with Peet’s Coffee since it rolled out the Peetnik Rewards program to all stores in 2018.

On top of helping members accrue points more quickly, the latest version of Peetnik Rewards puts a greater emphasis on how shoppers earn and spend their rewards. Customers now receive one point for every dollar they spend, and can use them on gifts ranging from a single shot to a pound of coffee beans.

Other retailers have revamped their loyalty offerings in the past several years as well. In March 2021, Bloomingdale’s added new reward tiers and removed the need to use a branded credit card, and in June 2020 AEO simplified its loyalty program down to three tiers.
