Lizzo Kickstarts New Inclusive Shapewear Brand With Help From Fabletics

Fabletics is partnering with Grammy Award-winning artist Lizzo to launch YITTY, a new shapewear brand. Lizzo has been developing the business for three years and will put an emphasis on inclusivity, with fits for all body types from size 6X to XS.

YITTY aims to blur the lines of inner and outerwear with intentional-meets-functional designs and bold colors. The silhouettes are a major selling point — they have been designed to fit on every size and body type rather than be scaled up or down from one baseline model.

“Instead of thinking about size in this linear way, we’re thinking about it on a spectrum where everyone is included,” said Lizzo in a statement. “Everyone’s size is just their size. It’s not high, it’s not low. It’s not big, it’s not small. It’s just your size.”

The brand is environmentally friendly as well: more than 65% of the styles are made with recycled fibers and the sustainably designed packaging is made with 100% recycled materials. YITTY will debut with three distinctive drops:

  • NEARLY NAKED: A lightweight seamless collection designed to comfortably shape and firm natural curves;
  • MESH ME: Smoothing mesh styles that blend fashion with function to work as underwear or outerwear; and
  • MAJOR LABEL: An assortment of everyday lifestyle pieces.

Lizzo partnered with Fabletics to help her bring the shapewear brand to life due to the retailer’s combination of experience in creating fashion-forward collections and its business model, which will help make YITTY accessible to millions of women worldwide.
