Postmates has launched a retail platform called “Shop” that will initially be available in Los Angeles. The platform is integrated into the standard Postmates app and gives shoppers access to items from retailers including Anastasia Beverly Hills, OWL Venice, Big Red Sun and Urbanic.
Shop lets retailers showcase their inventories using organized, configurable catalogues and high-resolution images. They also can choose from a variety of fulfillment options, including on-demand delivery, in-store pickup and non-contact curbside pickup. Standard Postmates delivery fees apply, and Postmates Unlimited customers receive free delivery for all purchases.
“We’re thrilled to be a part of the Shop launch on Postmates,” said Heather DeLeon, Director of Sales at Anastasia Beverly Hills in a statement. “This year, COVID really changed the landscape of how we purchase essentials, spend time recreationally, and even how we treat ourselves. Shop is such an interesting opportunity because it lets people get their hands on our products in a completely new and exciting way.”
Shop will be spearheaded by Mike Buckley, who recently joined Postmates as SVP of Business. Buckley previously served as VP, Digital Commerce Operations & New Business Models at Nike, where he led the retailer’s ecommerce business.
