Amazon has announced the dates of its 10th annual Prime Day event, which will take place from July 16 at 12:01 a.m. PDT through July 17 across 23 countries, including the U.S.

The dates were announced via a music video and new original song from pop star Megan Thee Stallion called It’s Prime Day. The song is now available exclusively on Amazon Music and will be featured as a bonus track on her forthcoming album. Prime members also can shop Megan Thee Stallion’s Prime Day picks, inspired by items featured in the music video. Beginning on July 8 and each day after in the lead up to Prime Day, other influencers including Jess Sims, Alyssa McKay, Millie Bobby Brown and Alix Earle will drop their own set of deals on their favorite products.

Over the course of the two-day sale, Amazon promises that Prime members will have access to millions of deals across more than 35 categories, including electronics, kitchen, beauty and apparel. New deals will drop as frequently as every five minutes during select periods.

Not to be left behind, Amazon competitors already are setting their own summer sales dates, with both Target and Walmart announcing deal-rich events. Target Circle week will take place from July 7-13 for Circle members, and Walmart Deals Week will take place July 8-11 for all shoppers, with Walmart+ members getting early access to some deals.

Last year’s Prime Day on July 11, 2023 marked the single largest sales day in Amazon’s history, with members purchasing more than 375 million items. This year, Prime members will again be able to request invitations to invite-only deals on products expected to sell out. Members also can set up deal alerts and event reminders on Alexa devices and set up deal notifications on trending products.

“Prime Day is a celebration of the value we bring to members all year long, and features millions of deals across more than 35 product categories as well as discounts on Amazon devices, quality entertainment, groceries, travel and more during the event,” said Jamil Ghani, VP of Amazon Prime in a statement. “In fact, over the course of last year, Amazon customers saved nearly $24 billion from deals and coupons — with Prime members enjoying the vast majority of those savings — including over $2.5 billion during Prime Day 2023.”
