Restaurants Implement New Mobile Apps From Zuppler And LevelUp

Online food ordering platform Zuppler and mobile payment solution provider LevelUp have collaborated on a series of new apps for restaurants. The mobile apps were designed to help bridge the gap between the online food ordering and mobile payment industries.

Together, Zuppler and LevelUp serve more than 18,000 restaurants and more than two million customers. Combining mobile payment and online ordering gives customers the opportunity to order and pay for their meals anywhere and at anytime.

Casual restaurants Boloco and Protein Bar have launched apps touting the mobile payment and online ordering technology from Zuppler and LevelUp.

“Zuppler and LevelUp have allowed us to change the way we engage with our customers,” said Matt Matros, Founder of Protein Bar, “and we couldn’t be more thrilled that they are joining forces to create even more amazing technologies that make our customers’ lives better.”

Restaurant owners are able to track and analyze data such as customer purchase frequency, items ordered, and more. This information can be used to reward and engage customers via targeted loyalty programs.

“With our new passport loyalty program, our guests have the opportunity to pay and earn or redeem rewards in one step, regardless of whether they are ordering inapp, ordering online, or ordering in our restaurants,” Alexandra Dunk, Marketing Manager at Boloco. “This is a big change and we hope it’s ultimately a big improvement for our guests.”

The Zuppler and LevelUp partnership is expected to enable “commerce anywhere” for restaurants of all sizes — a capability that was once limited to large brands and online giants.

“Until now, restaurants would typically choose between an app featuring mobile payments or online ordering, but not both,” said Shiva Srinivasan, Founder and CEO of Zuppler. “While each service worked well separately, restaurants were missing a key opportunity to capture every customer’s order, regardless of whether it was in-store or online. Thanks to our partnership with LevelUp, we’re helping businesses increase customer spend by using the data we’re able to provide.”
