Ganesh Srivats, most recently a Vice President at Tesla, will takes the reins as CEO of Moda Operandi, effective August 1, 2018. Srivats succeeds Deborah Nicodemus, who served as CEO for five years and will remain as a close advisor to the company. The appointment comes amid company growth — the retailer raised $165 million in December 2017 to fund global expansion.
During his employment at Tesla, Srivats was tasked with developing the North American and EMEA markets, as well as worldwide responsibilities for Tesla.com, digital products and marketing. Before that, he worked for Burberry for 10 years, ultimately serving as Senior VP of Retail for the Americas.
“We have grown the team to 300 people and successfully launched new business categories, including fine jewelry, occasion wear, menswear and home,” said Nicodemus in a statement. “In addition, we’ve opened showrooms to support our global expansion and have built a robust roadmap for innovation and product development. The Board and I are confident that Ganesh is the perfect leader for the next phase of Moda Operandi as I pursue my passion for philanthropy while continuing to advise the company and team.”
