Zebra Technologies To Highlight Mobile And Commerce Solutions At NRF


Zebra Technologies Corp.
will be showcasing a number of retail solutions from its Zebra Commerce division, including mobile printers and commerce applications, at the 2014 NRF Big Show next week. 

New solutions within the Zebra retail portfolio were added following the company’s full integration with StepOne in July 2013. With the official launch of Zebra Commerce, the company unveiled a suite of software and hardware solutions, as well as services, to help retailers mobilize their operations.

Booth highlights will include:

  • Zebra Commerce engagement and efficiency solutions, which are designed to keep customers engaged and educated throughout the shopping journey. New applications include: sales assist, item locator, mobile checkout and mobile payment. Efficiency applications to be featured at the show include: price markdown, inventory cycle counting and out-of-stock management.
     
  • ZD500R RFID Printer, which was released in November 2013. As the company’s first desktop Ultra High Frequency RFID printer, the ZD500R is designed to make it easier for retailers to benefit from item-level RFID tagging.
     
  • Merchandise display management solutions provided by ZBD Solutions. The company will showcase how retailers can use Electronic Shelf Labeling (ESL) to support promotional strategies and labeling at the shelf. 
     
  • Custom inventory solutions, which were added following Zebra’s acquisition of Hart Systems. Zebra will showcase how the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution can help retailers lower costs and improve inventory accuracy through self-managed physical inventory.
     
  • Zatar iBeacon application, which will be available for live demos. Zebra’s new Zatar platform is designed to integrate beacons, location software and in-store displays to deliver personalized messaging to consumers in-store.
     
  • QLn Series mobile printers, which are now available for iPods, iPhones and iPads. The printers can connect to all mobile devices, including Android and Windows phones, via Bluetooth.
     

In addition to Zebra’s booth presence, the company will be hosting a “Big Idea” session on Jan. 13, 2014, at 9:15 a.m. ET, titled: “Closing the Consumer Expectation Gap: Enabling Mobile POS.”
