Celebrating a positive Q2, Tractor Supply reaffirmed its fiscal guidance for the remainder of FY 2025 and revealed that it plans to open 100 new stores next year. The rural-oriented retailer generated $4.44 billion in net sales for the period that ended June 28, 2025, a 4.5% increase over the same period the previous year, along with a 1.5% increase in comparable sales.
Tractor Supply has been accelerating its store openings for several years; in December 2024 the retailer revealed that its long-term goal is to operate 3,200 stores, nearly 900 more than the 2,335 stores currently comprising its brick-and-mortar fleet.
“We have a robust pipeline of low-risk organic growth opportunities ahead of us,” said Hal Lawton, President and CEO of Tractor Supply during a conference call discussing the financial results. “Our recent acquisition of 18 Big Lots locations gives us great confidence to start 2026 with our new store pipeline in a strong position as we anticipate stepping up to 100 new stores next year.”
Lawton noted the impact of Tractor Supply’s Neighbor’s Club loyalty program as a “key driver of customer engagement and a meaningful competitive advantage,” noting that the program had grown to a record 41 million members who accounted for more than 80% of total sales during Q2. “As part of our Neighbor’s Club, we just celebrated the second anniversary of our Hometown Heroes program with a $1 million donation across 10 charities focused on military service members, veterans and first responders,” he said, noting that Hometown Heroes receive top-tier Neighbor’s Club benefits.
The retailer reaffirmed its 2025 financial guidance, which forecasts 4%-8% growth in net sales; 0%-4% growth in comparable sales; and net income of $1.07 billion to $1.17 billion.
