Maurices has unveiled a branded mobile app to enhance its customers’ in-store shopping experience. When shoppers enter one Maurices’ 800-plus fashion stores, they can check-in with their smartphones and get timely, location-based messages and offers via push notification.
The app, introduced by AT&T and developed using Digby’s Localpoint Mobile Platform, allows Maurices to set virtual perimeters around its stores. Once customers have the app and accept the use of location information, their smartphones alert them to noteworthy news about the specific store location they have entered. Shoppers also can use the app to scan product barcodes in the store to see product descriptions and ratings.
Maurices also has introduced a new optimized mobile web site, making it easier for customers to search, browse and buy from maurices.com on their mobile phones.
