Organized Insider will be a tiered program with three levels — Enthusiast, Experienced and Expert. The program rewards customers with perks such as receipt-free returns and a birthday discount along with enhanced personalization and experiences including exclusive product and event access, priority shopping and an annual Insider Savings Day.
“We have reimagined our loyalty program to provide our customers even more benefits than before while designing a program that is easy to understand and easy to access,” said Melissa Collins, CMO at The Container Store in a statement. “The new tier-based model will encourage repeat purchases and attract new customers. Both Organized Insider and our new mobile app are essential elements of our overall customer experience, and we look forward to seeing how customers respond.”
Program rewards and tiers are based on annual spending, which determines whether a customer will be an:
- Enthusiast: customers who spend up to $299 per year get receipt-free returns, bonus savings days, birthday discounts and one Insider Savings Day per year;
- Experienced: customers who spend $300–$999 will receive Enthusiast benefits plus new tier achievement savings, early access to select new products, shopping events and higher discounts; and
- Experts: shoppers who spend $1,000 or more will receive Experienced benefits along with more extensive discounts, exclusive event invitations and an annual gift at the end of the year.
Members of the retailer’s existing loyalty program will transfer automatically to Organized Insider, with their status based on 2021 spending levels or their recent 2022 spend. To promote the program, The Container Store is offering $10 off a $75 purchase to new members.
Through The Container Store’s site and mobile app, members will have access to an Organized Insider dashboard that shows their status, available offers, exclusive benefits and the amount needed to reach the next tier. Members can use the mobile app to shop, check order status, receive retailer updates and get guidance for organization projects. The Container Store will rely on user behavior and feedback to determine how the Organized Insider app evolves.
The enhanced loyalty program and app build on The Container Store’s stores efforts to enhance its customer experience that include the May 2021 debut of a solution from Narvar designed to facilitate the customer post-purchase experience, including order tracking and notifications.
