Glossier products will be available at Sephora stores in the U.S. and Canada, as well as online and via the retailer’s app, in early 2023. In a LinkedIn post, Glossier CEO Kyle Leahy wrote “We’re inspired by their [Sephora’s] vision for beauty discovery, and have heard (many times!) that our customers want to find us there.”
While it’s primarily an ecommerce company, Glossier had operated three brick-and-mortar stores but was forced to close them in early 2020 due to the COVID pandemic. The company returned to physical retail in August 2021 and has since opened stores in Seattle, Los Angeles, Miami and London. By the end of 2022, Glossier plans to open stores in Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Philadelphia and Brooklyn, N.Y., with a flagship in NYC’s SoHo slated for 2023, according to CNBC.
These expansionary moves are being led by Leahy, who was named CEO of Glossier in May 2022. That marked the first time the company would be led by someone other than founder Emily Weiss, who began Glossier in 2014.
“This is a huge milestone for our teams and our entire community, and I’m so proud and grateful for all the hard work that’s gone into this,” Leahy wrote in her post.
