After taking a hiatus in 2020, LinkedIn has released its ranking of the Top 50 U.S. companies at which to build a career. Only five retailers made the cut, but one of them — Amazon — was named number one.
The other retailers in the top 50 were Walmart, at #9; CVS Health, #15; Target, #28; and The Home Depot, #48.
In compiling the rankings, LinkedIn factored in not just a company’s ability to attract top talent but its commitment to investing in its workforce. This new methodology is based on seven key pillars, each linked to a different facet of career progression:
- Ability to advance;
- Skills growth;
- Company stability;
- External opportunity;
- Company affinity;
- Gender diversity; and
- Educational background.
The overall top 10 companies were:
