BJ’s Wholesale Club announced the appointment of two new C-level executives to help the company drive digital innovation and omnichannel transformation.
Scott Kessler has been named EVP and CIO. He will replace Peter Amalfi, who plans to retire in late 2017. Kessler joins BJ’s from department store chain Belk, where he was EVP and CIO. He also held leadership roles at GSI Commerce, a provider of e-Commerce and interactive marketing services, and Accenture.
Rafeh Masood has joined BJ’s in the newly created role of SVP, Chief Digital Officer. Masood is tasked with driving the strategy and vision for BJ’s e-Commerce and omnichannel efforts. He also will focus on programs and initiatives that drive sales, showcase value and enhance convenience for members.

Masood joins the company from Dick’s Sporting Goods, where he was Vice President of Customer Innovation Technology, responsible for all digital platforms, enterprise architectures and the use of technology to enhance the customer experience.
