Usablenet Introduces New API Service

, a mobile and multichannel technology provider, today introduced the Usablenet API Service, offering retailers a new way to provide digital services to consumers.

Depending on a company’s current Agile Web Services technology, which also is provided by Usablenet, the API Service is designed to help retailers become more agile in their multichannel initiatives.

Through a services-based architecture, retailers that use Usablenet API Service can create native and/or web experiences based on the device and user context.

UK retailer John Lewis is using the Usablenet API Service to create more contextually relevant shopping experience, designing the browsing and buying journey based on the channel being used. With Usablenet, John Lewis can provide mobile shoppers with access to full product search and type-ahead search. The Usablenet API Service also powers the handover from the native application to a mobile web-based checkout to create a more enjoyable shopping experience.

U-Campaign Enables Real-Time Mobile Marketing

Usablenet has announced the release of U-Campaign, a new component of the U-Experience platform, which helps marketers plan, execute and manage mobile landing pages and campaign sites. With the new offering, marketers can run multiple mobile campaigns in real time, and without help from developers and third-party resources.
