Staples is reprising the Thank A Teacher program it launched last year, and doubling from 10 to 20 the number of teachers who will be rewarded with gift cards. The winners can use the cards to stock up on school supplies and technology, as well as the personal protection equipment the retailer now stocks.
To nominate a teacher for a chance to win $5,000 worth of products, parents and students can share their stories on Twitter or Instagram and include @StaplesStores and the hashtags #ThankATeacher and #contest or nominate a teacher on staples.com through Sept. 26.
“It’s undeniable that this school year will look different for everyone,” said Mike Motz, CEO of Staples US Retail in a statement. “Staples knows that teachers will need our support more than ever — whether they’re teaching in the classroom, remotely or a combination of both.”
Staples tapped actress and parent Angela Kinsey to promote the program in a video where she addresses the challenges of virtual learning during the pandemic.
