Retalix has acquired Cornell Mayo Associates, a U.S.-based store systems provider, executing on its growth strategy to expand into high volume, high complexity adjacent retail segments.
The acquisition “is an additional milestone towards the realization of our long-term business goals,” said Shuky Sheffer, CEO of Retalix, in a press release. “Retalix will benefit from the Cornell staff’s deep domain expertise and longstanding relationships with top tier retailers, including such household names as Saks Fifth Avenue, Belk, Stage Stores and Barnes & Noble.”
Founded in 1981, Cornell Mayo has deployed approximately 4,000 stores, primarily in North America. “I believe Retalix’s complementary, industry leading software and services offerings, financial depth and global reach will open up a world of opportunities for Cornell Mayo employees and customers alike,” noted Gene Cornell, Founder of Cornell Mayo, in a press release. Cornell will continue to lead the business, which will retain its name.
