Mineral Fusion Launches Virtual Try-On for Beauty Products at Whole Foods

Whole Foods Market is now offering shoppers a no-touch way to safely trial cosmetics products in-store through a virtual try-on experience with natural beauty brand Mineral Fusion.

Mineral Fusion partnered with beauty tech solution provider Perfect Corp. to launch its YouCam for Web virtual try-on experience on The new “Virtual Try On Tool” is powered by AI/AR technology. It allows customers to discover and experiment with the full range of color cosmetics offered by the brand online via desktop or mobile device, and in Whole Foods stores via special QR codes featured on Mineral Fusion’s in-store beauty displays.

In-store shoppers can test the virtual try-ons by using their mobile devices to scan the QR code, which then directs them to a special Whole Foods virtual try-on landing page where they can virtually try on Mineral Fusion products directly from their phones, to find the best match before making in-store purchases.

“The Virtual Try-On-Tool is a safer alternative to testers allowing online and brick-and-mortar customers to find the products and the shades of their choice, said Stella Huang, Director of Digital Marketing for Mineral Fusion in a statement. “Shoppers can try on shades using a preselected model image, uploading a photo or even via live cameras.”
