Seeking to score in the fast-growing resale market, luggage brand Béis has launched Second Béis using the Trove platform. The ecommerce experience from Trove, which acquired the full-service resale platform Recurate in August 2024, includes mixed-cart functionality that allows customers to combine both new and used products in a single checkout.
Powered by Trove resale operations and Shopify integration technology, Second Béis offers a seamless shopping experience for gently used roller bags, backpacks, commuter totes and weekenders. On the operational side, the Trove Recommerce Warehouse Management System (ReWMS) manages resale logistics, from inspecting items to routing them to their optimal selling channel or next-best-use outcome, as well as integrating inventory data into the existing Béis commerce stack.
“This program does two things — it gives our bags a longer lifecycle and it gives us the opportunity to reach more lives,” said Adeela Hussain Johnson, CEO of Béis in a statement. “We know there are people out there who haven’t been able to try our products yet, and we see Second Béis as a new access point to bring them into our community.
“We’ve seen how much the younger generations are leaning into shopping secondhand and investing in pieces that will last, and we think this ethos deeply resonates with our goals for this program,” she added.
