Lowe’s has followed its March 2025 introduction of the Mylow customer-facing AI-powered app with one for associates, built on the same foundation, which it has launched to all 1,700+ stores in the home improvement chain. This at-scale deployment of the Mylow Companion will give store associates access to generative AI to help them assist customers with more confidence.
The Mylow Companion responds to natural language, conversational prompts, including voice-to-text for hands-free usage. Whether it’s asked, “What kind of fertilizer works best for Bermuda grass?” or “How can I fix a leaky faucet?,” the tool can deliver actionable information on the same handheld devices that associates already use.
“Mylow Companion is another example of Lowe’s living out its commitment to elevate the customer and associate experience,” said Seemantini Godbole, Chief Digital and Information Officer at Lowe’s in a statement. “Whether associates have been on the job for five weeks or five years, they can be confident they’re delivering expert-level advice and assistance, and customers can trust they’re getting the best service and experience of any retailer.”
Both Mylow and Mylow Companion were developed in collaboration with OpenAI, and Lowe’s will continue evolving the experience on both apps, introducing new capabilities and refining functionality based on direct in-app feedback.
