Lowe’s Debuts Digital Home Platform for Loyalty Program Members

Lowe’s has introduced a “Digital Home Platform” that offers members of the retailer’s MyLowe’sRewards program free personalized information about the products in their home — including warranties, manuals, maintenance guidelines, how-to content, recommended subscriptions and replacement parts. While the platform’s initial launch focuses on home appliances, the retailer is planning to eventually expand it to include other aspects of home maintenance.

Customers who purchased a major appliance connected to their MyLowe’sRewards account within the past five years will automatically see the appliance displayed in their member profile. Members also can search for and manually add other appliances, with the digital home platform automatically displaying all the information Lowe’s has about the appliance.

Current features of the platform include:

  • Product information: One place for storage of manuals, warranties and other related documents;
  • Product recommendations: Shopping for compatible appliance replacements, parts and maintenance supplies;
  • Maintenance reminders, including project and schedule suggestions; and
  • How-to guides and tutorials: Articles and videos on common tasks such as cleaning an oven or replacing a water filter.

“We’re building toward a future where our customers have all the information about their home and home maintenance needs in one place — think a digital twin for their home,” said Chandhu Nair, SVP of Technology at Lowe’s in a statement. “The Lowe’s Digital Home Platform is another way we are delivering on our Total Home Strategy, enabling a total home solution for every need in the home.”

The platform was built by Lowe’s Innovation Labs. Other applications from this in-house division include Lowe’s Style Studio, a kitchen visualization experience designed exclusively for Apple Vision Pro; Measure Your Space, a room measurement tool for iPhone using ARKit and the LiDAR Scanner; experiences like Lowe’s Product Expert, a custom GPT that delivers home improvement product recommendations via generative AI; and an interactive store digital twin that makes it easier for associates to access store information.
