ShopSavvy Partners With Grocery Server To Offer Location-Based Grocery Deals
ShopSavvy recently partnered with Grocery Server to deliver location-based grocery deals to more than 11 million users. The new feature will enable shoppers to compare prices and receive current coupons on selected items at the point of sale (POS). “This partnership extends our leadership to the grocery category, where our shoppers are demanding better information on grocery products and new opportunities to save using the latest technology,” said John Boyd, Co-Founder and VP of Business Development for ShopSavvy, in a press release. “This is only the beginning of what we have planned for grocery, which we think is a category poised for savings and opportunity over the coming five years.” The mobile app provides users with prices, reviews and other information on millions of products from numerous retailers. In another announcement, in March 2011, ShopSavvy teamed up with Top 10 Produce LLC to deliver local grower profiles to users who scan strawberries marketed under the Locale brand.

Anna’s Linens implemented JDA Point-of-Sale (POS) to improve business processes and efficiency of store operations, as well as customer-facing touch points. Following the implementation, Anna’s Linens has reported improved performance at its POS registers. The new system also has enabled the retailer to create new marketing activities, and gain better control of data and reporting. Additionally, the retailer now has the ability to differentiate between a continuous buyer and a continuous returner. “By gaining greater insight into their customer base at a very detailed level, Anna’s Linens can continue to better target and market product offerings to their customers that add value, enhance profitability and increase revenue while improving the customer experience,” noted Wayne Usie, SVP of Retail at JDA Software.
