The recent Klarna Oasis pop-up experience featured mission-driven brands from Klarna’s roster of merchant partners. While BNPL companies don’t typically operate physical retail experiences, the hosted space on Los Angeles’ Melrose Avenue, open July 23-24, supported mindful shopping (and its Pay in 4 checkout option) as it presented goods from fashion, beauty and accessories brands including:
- Lunya;
- Rebecca Minkoff;
- RE/DONE;
- VRAI;
- AVYA;
- Christy Dawn;
- Kjaer Weis;
- Westman Atelier;
- Pepper; and
- The Detox Market.
In addition to the opportunity to buy from purpose-driven brands, shoppers could donate their gently used shoes and clothing through a partnership with Soles4Souls in exchange for an on-site discount.
On July 23, Klarna Oasis hosted a sustainability-focused fireside chat with speakers discussing the importance of regenerative agriculture to promote a greener fashion industry. Speakers included Raji Behal, Global Head of Partner Success at Klarna; Aras Baskauskas, Co-Founder and CEO of Christy Dawn; and Jasmyne Spencer, professional soccer player at Angel City Football Club, of which Klarna is a founding partner.
“We’re excited to bring the smooth Klarna shopping experience to life for the first time in Los Angeles, spotlighting mission driven merchant partners that support a range of important causes from sustainability in fashion to clean beauty,” said Behal in a statement. “At Klarna, we realize we have a responsibility to help drive positive change towards a better future, and providing our consumers unique access to shop more mindfully is just one of the many ways we are working to make a difference.”
