[Update as of Nov. 17, 2025] Ford Motor has made certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicles available for sale in Los Angeles, Seattle and Dallas on Amazon Autos, with plans to add additional cities in the coming months, according to CNBC. The automaker said that more than 160 of its approximately 2,900 U.S. retailers have started the onboarding process with Amazon, with about a dozen ready to sell and around 10 more launching next week.
“The addition of Ford certified pre-owned vehicles to Amazon Autos represents an exciting expansion of our store, giving customers access to thousands of quality vehicles backed by Ford’s comprehensive inspection and warranty programs,” said Fan Jin, Global Leader of Amazon Autos, in a statement quoted by CNBC.
Customers will be able to secure financing, start paperwork and schedule pickup times for the vehicles at the participating Ford dealers, although some steps in the purchasing process may still need to be completed in person.
Amazon Autos partnered with Hyundai in December 2024 to sell new vehicles from the South Korea-based automaker.

[Update as of Sept. 5, 2025] Hertz Car Sales is the first fleet dealer to join Amazon Autos following the platform’s expansion into used car sales. Shoppers can now browse, finance and purchase thousands of pre-owned vehicles from Hertz — including brands such as Ford, Toyota, Chevrolet and Nissan — on Amazon.com.
On Amazon Autos, customers in Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles and Seattle will now be able to view Hertz Car Sales vehicles available within 75 miles of their location. They can complete their purchase online and then pick up their vehicle at a Hertz Car Sales location. The offering will eventually expand to Hertz Car Sales’ 45 locations nationwide.
“Our goal is to reimagine the car-buying experience and meet customers where they are — whether online or in person — with convenience, confidence and scale,” said Jeff Adams, EVP of Hertz Car Sales in a statement. “Amazon Autos is the ideal partner to help us deliver on this, as customers can shop our expansive inventory of high-quality used cars on the same trusted marketplace where millions shop every day.”

Amazon Adds Used Cars to Auto Inventory
Amazon has expanded the offerings in its Amazon Autos category to include used and certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicles, according to reporting that first appeared in Car and Driver. Amazon had launched online auto sales in December 2024, featuring new Hyundai vehicles exclusively, but now participating dealers will be allowed to offer non-Hyundai used vehicles on the site. Currently, car dealers in more than 130 cities across the country are participating in Amazon Autos sales.
The addition of used and CPO vehicles will debut in Los Angeles and expand to more U.S. cities during the coming months. The Amazon car-buying experience includes key elements such as financing, leasing options and trade-in opportunities, so the customer only goes to the car dealership when they have completed the transaction. Other customer protection features include a three-day/300-mile return policy and a minimum 30-day/1,000-mile limited warranty on all vehicles.
Amazon rival Alibaba also sells used cars online, and Ebay streamlined the process of purchasing cars on its website last month with the introduction of Secure Purchase.
