7-Eleven and Airbnb will rent out the retailer’s new 7-Eleven Evolution Store in Dallas County, Texas for two separate nights before its official opening. The Dallas County location is one of six Evolution Stores, which will serve as testing grounds for the retailer’s latest innovations, across the U.S.
Each booking will cost just $11 and give participants access to a PlayStation 5 and a luxury lounge created for the promotion, tying the new store concept to a hot video game console. The winners staying at the store will have access to amenities including:
- A game pod featuring a big screen TV and luxury loungers;
- An exclusive one-hour Twitch streaming session with popular gamer and founder of gaming organization FaZe Clan, FaZe Temperrr;
- Access to 7-Eleven drinks and snacks including a Slurpee® drink station and Laredo Taco Company tacos.
“Everyone knows that the PlayStation®5 console launch has been one of the biggest headlines in the gaming world the past few months,” said Marissa Jarratt, SVP and CMO at 7-Eleven in a statement. “The ultimate gamers’ console warranted an experience just as exclusive in our newest 7-Eleven Evolution Store — our ultimate retail environment. We can’t wait to immerse a few gamers in the limitless world of 7-Eleven.”
7-Eleven will take extra steps to protect its guests during the pandemic, including special sanitation measures prior to their arrival, health screenings, personal protective equipment (PPE) and hand sanitizer stations. House rules include mandatory masks when not eating or drinking, and social distancing. All safety protocols will be supervised by a certified compliance officer.
