The first of what Nike’s Jordan Brand (Michael, that is) promises will be several U.S. “World of Flight” flagship stores will open in Philadelphia on Oct. 10, 2025. Since 2022, the brand has opened six World of Flight flagships, in Milan, Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing and, most recently, the Nike & Jordan World of Flight Mexico City. Jordan Brand also hosted a six-week installation at the 2024 Paris Olympics called District 23.

The Philadelphia World of Flight store — which will be located in a historic Beaux Arts building constructed in the early 1900s — has been designed as a destination retail experience, creating connections with fans via community events, exclusive “high-heat” product drops, a curated co-creation experience and the broadest available assortment of Jordan Brand footwear and apparel. Additional U.S. World of Flight stores are planned in key cities across the country.

“World of Flight is a direct portal to our brand and represents the pinnacle of basketball culture,” said Sarah Mensah, President of Jordan Brand in a statement. “Opening our first World of Flight door in the United States in Philadelphia, where Michael Jordan played his last game and [Jordan Brand athlete] Jalen Hurts is redefining success on the football field, is emblematic of the stories, legacy and achievements we continue to create and uplift.”

The Oct. 10 Philadelphia store opening will include a Jordan Brand Block Party featuring exclusive surprises for attendees. The brand’s Philadelphia connection also includes the first class of Wings Scholars in 2015. Since then, Jordan Brand has provided opportunities to more than 4,000 Wings scholars around the world. Jordan Brand continues to work with local partners in the City of Brotherly Love, including the Jalen Hurts Foundation, to put greatness in reach for young people throughout the city.

“We are going to further unite the energy of Philadelphia with MJ’s greatness,” said Jeremy Bolds, GM, North America at Jordan Brand in a statement. “We are looking to serve a community that’s rich in culture and also drives one of the largest basketball-demand markets in the U.S. We will meet and exceed their needs, not only with an incredible Jordan Brand retail experience but also by expanding out with programming — elevating local athletes, artists, creators and fans.”
