1-800-FLOWERS.com has expanded its corporate gifting capabilities to make it easier for companies to connect with and celebrate employees or clients even as many offices remain closed.
The company has integrated Hero, a solution from SmartGift, into its corporate gifting website to offer new ways to send a gifts from across 1-800-FLOWERS.com’s portfolio of brands, which include Harry & David, PersonalizationMall.com and Cheryl’s Cookies, without the need for a physical address. Recipients digitally “unwrap” and preview their gifts, then choose the delivery date and address — and in some cases can even swap for another item.
“The rapid shift to remote work as more organizations adopt hybrid work policies has amplified the need for companies to develop stronger and more meaningful professional relationships with employees and clients,” said Chris McCann, CEO of 1-800-FLOWERS.com in a statement. “We worked with SmartGift to develop and deeply integrate Hero into our existing portal, providing an engagement-as-a-service offering that helps human resource professionals, managers and leaders achieve their rewards and recognition goals. What’s resulted is a comprehensive destination for engaging the workforce of today and tomorrow.”

Digital gifting redemption is becoming increasingly common as the country’s workforce remains distributed. For example, iPromo also has begun offering digital redemption stores. Employees are given a credit and can then choose their own gift from an online shop. iPromo’s online gift options include a wide range of products, everything from AirPods to Allbirds shoes.
