Window shopping is a time-honored New York tradition, especially around the holidays when retailers pull out all the stops. And while window shoppers typically have to enter the store to make actual purchases, this year livestreaming network TalkShopLive is making it possible for shoppers to buy what they see right there on the street.
In partnership with FrontRunner Technologies, TalkShopLive is bringing a “live commerce window shopping experience” to NYC. Beginning Nov. 23, select retail windows across the city will stream TalkShopLive shows, and consumers will be able to scan QR codes on the windows to shop live from the street while watching the content.
The partnership’s first live shopping experience will feature music superstar Gloria Estefan as she promotes her newly released holiday album, Estefan Family Christmas. Additional shows will roll out through the holiday season and feature Shania Twain, a cooking demo with Bobby Flay, Dolly Parton, rapper Ludacris, Drew Barrymore and TikTok influencer Noah Schnacky, among others, as well as re-airings of dozens of other TalkShopLive shows.
“At TalkShopLive, we strive for innovation that connects the retail landscape and redefines the future of shopping,” said Bryan Moore, Co-founder and CEO of TalkShopLive in a statement. “By launching the first live window shopping experiences with our partners at FrontRunner Technologies, we are beginning to solve the question every retailer and brand is asking: how do we connect the digital and physical shopping experiences for our customers? Content is at the core of product discovery and purchase, and through our unique technology we can support a connected approach to digital experience that maximizes content and amplifies omnichannel sales.”
