Walmart Launches Weekly Livestreaming Series for Collectors

Walmart is expanding its long-time partnership with live commerce platform TalkShopLive to launch a new weekly livestreaming series called Collector’s Night, which will stream exclusively on Walmart Live beginning Sept. 4 at 6 p.m. ET.

Presented in partnership with sports card and collectibles community WeTheHobby, the series will feature live box breaks, surprise giveaways and exclusive drops every Thursday.

Collectibles represent a critical and exciting area of investment and growth for Walmart,” said Mayank Hajela, General Manager of Collectibles at Walmart U.S. in a statement. “With demand continuing to surge, we’re committed to building experiences that not only serve collectors but redefine what they expect from us. Collector’s Night is a powerful step forward in making Walmart a true destination for this growing category.”

WeTheHobby first teamed up with Walmart at The National Sports Collectors Convention, and now the partners hope to bring the energy and connection from that in-person event to collectors and hobby fans across the nation every week. Walmart has worked with TalkShopLive since 2021, when the companies first teamed up to develop shoppable product videos on the Walmart website. With the new series, Walmart said it hopes to offer not just an opportunity to shop live but also to create a community where collecting can come to life.
