Nordstrom has partnered with Burberry to produce the latest edition of its New Concepts@Nordstrom store-in-store offering with Concept 019: Burberry, which features an exclusive capsule collection. Concept 019: Burberry launched online on Nov. 3, 2022 and will be introduced in stores in December. The collection will be available online and in stores through January 2023.

Design elements for the Concept 019: Burberry store-in-store experience aim for a luxurious but inviting approach to the outdoors, specifically the idea of a cozy cabin. The space relies on soft materials that resemble a “winter wonderland” setting with deep snow. The façade of the space is stamped with the Thomas Burberry Monogram to honor the brand’s founder, and a cable car completes the scene. New Concepts@Nordstrom’s Concept 019: Burberry will be featured in 11 stores in key markets, including Seattle, New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego and Vancouver, British Columbia.

The Concept 019: Burberry collection is focused on outerwear and evening pieces, relying on the brand’s iconic chevron check. The collection also features a fresh adaptation of the beloved pattern with the new Burberry Night Check, which the brand notes is inspired by the “natural world and the bright wonder of a starry night” that is reflected in a color palette composed of navy with metallic accents.

The ready-to-wear collection includes garments and accessories for men, women and children. Outerwear pieces include trench coats and puffer jackets. Separates includes graphic T-shirts, knitwear, tailoring, bags, shoes and scarves. More elegant pieces in the collection include sequined dresses, embossed shoes, accessories and crystal-embellished jewelry.

“Celebrating the spirit of adventure — an ethos that is at the core of Burberry’s pioneering heritage — Concept 019 offers customers the unique opportunity to explore an entirely new collection highlighting outerwear and festive dressing,” said Sarah Lubas, VP of Wholesale, Americas at Burberry in a statement.

New Concepts@Nordstrom is one of several different pop-up styles the retailer has designed over the last few years, with previous editions including Concept 013: Fear of God, Concept 016: PANGAIA and Concept 018: Virgil Abloh Securities. During summer 2022, the retailer produced a Nordstrom Local pop-up shop in Southampton, N.Y. and in June 2022, the retailer hosted its first interiors Pop In@Nordstrom space with home goods brand Parachute.
