Rite Aid has named Andre Persaud as its new EVP, Retail, in charge of leading the operations of more than 2,400 locations. His responsibilities will include inventory and supply chain management, field team management, store operations, asset protection and facility maintenance and repairs.
Persaud brings more than 25 years of retail experience in the grocery, pharmacy, off-price apparel and beauty services segments, most recently as an executive consultant to Wakefern Food Corp. There he worked with the company’s leadership team to help fuel its ongoing strategic transformation.
Persaud also has served as EVP, Retail at Shopko; SVP, Store Operations at Burlington Stores; and SVP, Central Operations and Merchandising at Loblaw Companies. He began his career as a pharmacist and worked his way up through various leadership roles that culminated in his leading drugstore operations at Walmart Canada.
