Office Depot will partner with DoorDash to offer on-demand delivery from more than 1,000 Office Depot and OfficeMax stores across the U.S. The retailer will offer a selection of 10,000 items through the DoorDash marketplace app and website, including computers, printers, toner and cleaning suppliers.
The partnership will take advantage of the shift to home offices, which has created a larger pool of decentralized workers in need of office supplies on short notice. The service aims to help ensure customers’ offices are fully stocked at all times regardless of where they are located.
“As we continue to expand into new categories to meet consumers’ need for convenience, we are thrilled to add Office Depot as our premier office and business and learning solutions retailer on the DoorDash platform,” said Shanna Prevé, VP, Business Development at DoorDash in a statement. “Whether working from home, the office or a hybrid of the two, customers can have peace of mind knowing that the office supplies and essentials they need are available for on-demand delivery at the tap of a button.”
Convenience store delivery in particular has been a particularly hot offering for on-demand services, and DoorDash is on top of that trend with the expansion of DashMart to NYC. The last mile solution provider also has been expanding its selection nationwide through retailers with a wide variety of specialties. Some of its recent partners include:
