HomeGoods is exploring a new kind of digital experience with the launch of HomeGoods Dream Vibes, a tool that helps shoppers turn their dreams into interior décor inspiration. The tool has its own dedicated website and provides users with a snapshot full of shoppable ideas following a three-step process.
Shoppers first enter their dream through voice-to-text or text input, sharing details of the story from beginning to end. They then answer several multiple-choice questions about the dream, including where they were, who they were with and how it made them feel. Finally, the information is translated by an IBM Natural Language Understanding algorithm that decodes the dream’s sentiment to find the textures, colors, shapes and décor details inspired by its mood.
“HomeGoods inspires its customers to discover unexpected finds they didn’t even know they wanted,” said Sarah Ajamian, Manager of Marketing at HomeGoods in a statement. “We created Dream Vibes to spark new home design inspiration, and we can’t wait to see how consumers will use their dreams to help breathe new life into their favorite spaces.”
The experience kicked off with Tyler Cameron, star of ABC’s The Bachelorette and FOX’s Dirty Dancing, putting HomeGoods Dream Vibes to the test to decorate his own home. His Dream Vibe featured a calming color palette of deep blue hues with touches including mixed metals and warm leather accents designed to inspire a welcoming yet playful environment that will bring people together.
