Farm Rio, Lovevery Launch New Resale Programs

Two popular brands have entered the world of resale: subscription toy brand Lovevery and rising fashion label Farm Rio.

ThredUp, Poshmark Power Farm Rio Resale Program

Brazilian lifestyle brand Farm Rio is joining the world of secondhand with the new Closet to Closet program, which includes two options for resale powered by ThredUp and Poshmark. The program is initially available only in the U.S., but the brand plans to expand to other markets soon, according to FashionUnited.

Through ThredUp’s resale-as-a-service offering (RaaS), customers can earn Farm Rio shopping credits by sending in gently worn clothing from any brand. Customers generate a prepaid shipping label on the Farm Rio resale site, fill any shippable box or bag with apparel, shoes and accessories from any brand in their closet, and send it to ThredUp for free. For items that sell on ThredUp, customers receive Farm Rio credit that can be used both online and in-store. Farm Rio joins a growing roster of ThredUp RaaS clients that includes J.Crew, Tommy Hilfiger and Madewell.

On Poshmark, verified Farm Rio purchases can be synced directly from a customer’s history on the Farm Rio website to the resale platform. Once linked, a preview listing is automatically created, so there is no need for the seller to upload photos or write product descriptions. Customers simply approve the listings and, when a piece is sold, the proceeds go straight to the seller.

Lovevery Peer-to-Peer Resale Marketplace Enables Selling, Buying and Donation

Early childhood brand Lovevery has partnered with Archive to launch the Lovevery Pre-Loved peer-to-peer resale marketplace, designed to make it simple for families to buy, sell or donate gently used Lovevery items.

A simple process allows sellers to list used Lovevery Play Kits, individual toys and books in just a few clicks, and then earn cash back on items that sell. Every transaction is protected with secure payment processing and shipping support. Items bought on Lovevery Pre-Loved also are eligible for Lovevery’s replacement parts program, which allows for the purchase of any missing parts and pieces to make secondhand playthings whole again.

For families interested in donating their used toys, Lovevery has partnered with early childhood education nonprofit ParentChild+, which will allow gently used Lovevery playthings to find new homes with families living in communities that have limited access to early childhood opportunities.

The Lovevery launch marks Archive’s first partner in the toy category. The company also recently expanded into fitness equipment with partner Peloton.
