Australia’s MECCA Streamlines Ingredient Compliance with New PLM System

MECCA has streamlined its beauty product compliance processes.

Australian beauty retailer MECCA has automated its ingredient compliance process with the help of Centric Software’s product lifecycle management (PLM) solution.

MECCA features more than 200 brands in its more than 100 stores across Australia and New Zealand and online. Prior to deploying Centric PLM, the MECCA team was manually managing products’ adherence to Australia’s strict ingredients legislation with spreadsheets. Now all product information —including compliance documents, ingredient details and artwork files — are stored in one place, making it quicker to approve new products and streamline the compliance journey.

“We can’t approve products with incomplete data on ingredients or missing documentation — every product needs to be compliant,” said David Cumberland, General Manager of Risk and Compliance at MECCA in a statement. “We’re approving new products faster than ever before because we’re completing our reviews in one place.”
